Oooo so nice- All was going fine until I saw the hacked off ends of the sill. Could you imagine putting up this crappy aluminum siding and cutting off a perfectly good sill? B.T.W the squirrel is still winning and probably quite fat and happy with all of the food I have been giving him in the trap. Tonight I will try a new one. The trap mechanism seems to work better. If this doesn't work I'll call the pros.

We had a squirrel in our old house when I was a child... my father tried traps etc... finally we left the attic door opened... and one morning it let it self out... actually my sister woke up the family with..there is a squirrel in my room. The squirrel went out through the front door and the house was sealed. Any possibility of letting the same happen for you? Just a thought...good luck j

Thanks papercollector. My problem is that this squirrel seems to really like my attic. So much so- it chewed a hole right through the soffit to get in. I've closed up the holes twice, but to no avail. So I figure I will have to trap the thing first and then fix the holes. They want $200.00 to trap it. I'll try for another couple of weeks.
Thanks again!

Have you removed the aluminum siding from your house? How did that go? Was the original siding in decent condition?

I removed the aluminum siding from what you see here and it turned out great. The biggest problem is replacing the sill. I plan on removing all of the aluminum siding this summer.
