Slowly replacing all of the doorknobs w/backing hardware when I can find them. Sure wish I could find 6 more all at one time. For some reason the originals were replaced with shiny, brass plated doorknobs that just don't work very well. The picture below shows one of the originals in my house.

Nice work. Our house had nearly all of the original hardware when we bought it, but there were a few pieces missing, and I've added a couple doors as part of some remodeling. Between several local salvage shops and eBay, I've been fortunate enough to find enough.
I applaud your efforts with the little touches like this. I think it's what really makes a restoration stand out.
