What a beautiful restoration you are doing. I'm envious of your copper gutters. I thought about putting up copper gutters last year, but I was worried some thief would steal them for scrap. If they'll pull plumbing out of houses, what would stop them from ripping off gutters? They're beautiful though. Enjoy!
You're right-it's something I've given a lot of thought to. I was shown a way of strapping down the downspout making it harder to take down by using copper strips and rivets. Of course it also makes it harder to clean----but I can live with that.
