Did you install these yourself? I desperately need some. I got my new slate roof last winter and now 100's of lbs of snow suddenly cascades off the roof and sounds like the end of the world. And some crashes onto the front porch roof. But my roofer wanted a fortune to install them.

Hi Nina-

Yes, I did, and this kind is put on as you're laying the slate down.

Since your slate is already installed, you may want a retrofit snowguard. Check the link below and watch the videos. Perhaps you can call around and get prices for installing them. Good luck!

Did you purchase them from Jenkins? His prices seem to be faily competitive with the others out there (at least when I bought copper nails, copper coil, etc).looks good.

Yes. I did purchase these through Jenkins. When it comes to nails and copper I call around at different supply stores for the best price. I also buy my slate hooks and stainless steel nails through the Jenkins site.
