Installing Azek beadboard and Crown. The stuff is really great-nice and thick. The only problem I'm having is installing 18' lengths by yourself gets a bit hard since it's so flexible.

The sidewall photo is new solid cedar clapboard. No finger jointed.

Holy crap! You did this roof yourself?? Are you a roofer by trade? That's amazing! I have thought about doing my slate roof (some idiot ruined my original slate by covering w/ asphalt and I want slate back). I am pretty good at doing all my projects myself but that's a big one w/ a lot of room for massive problems if not done properly so I don't know.

You have commented on my blog before (1914 Foursquare). I am trying to spread the word about my situation now. I have been criminally charged by my city for restoring my house. I have the whole story on my blog:

Appreciate any support I can get right now.

Keep up the good work. The roof looks amazing.

Hi Nina.

Thanks for your comments. It wasn't my intention to do the roof myself until I read The Slate Roof Bible and got inspired to do so. Also, since I had the scaffold already I decided to go for it. Bit of a learning curve, but it's not rocket science once you see how it's done. It's one hell of a work out too!

You're doing a great job on your house yourself! Have to say, your last posting was a real eye-opener. I never heard of such a thing. Ugh. People can't even work on their own houses anymore? It's not like you live in a gated community where they don't let you do this and that right?

I feel so lucky to have such nice neighbors, and I sure hope your situation gets better. I'll be checking your site for updates-

Good luck-
Jim
